We gather in Winston-Salem to grow together, then scatter to serve our neighbors. Whether you have walked this path for decades or are just starting, there is a place for you here.
At Sedge Garden Baptist Church, we believe the Bible to be the Word of God and the ultimate authority on faith and the way we live as followers of Jesus Christ. For this reason, we find our purpose from the scriptures. The Bible reveals a wonderful variety of specific things we are to do, but generally, there are three ministries, which comprise our purpose.
First, we have a ministry of WORSHIP to God.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment,
Second, we have a ministry to the GODLY, that is to other followers of Jesus Christ. We are to love one another, pray for each other, support and encourage each other until the return of Jesus Christ, which is our hope.
Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
And Last but certainly not least, we have a ministry to those who have not yet heard about nor entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our mission begins here, right where we live and extends out in support of missionaries around the world.

I am pastor Tim Duncan.
On behalf of the whole family at Sedge Garden Baptist Church, I want to welcome you to our online community. We are a group of committed followers of Jesus Christ who have joined together for the purpose of worshipping God, learning more about Him, enjoying each other and serving others.
We believe that people really matter to God. Church isn’t about buildings and programs as much as it is about people like you. We would consider it a great joy and privilege to serve you and your family. Feel free to browse our website and then come see us in person. Our Focus
Our faith does not end when the service concludes.
We measure our health by our active service to the city, extending hope and practical support beyond our walls every single week.

Decades of local ministry
Since our early days in Kernersville, our focus has remained steady: loving God, loving each other and loving our neighbors. We are a compassionate family of believers that honors our heritage while actively looking toward the future.
We believe a church should be a beacon of practical support. From weekly prayer gatherings to neighborhood outreach, our history is written in the lives we touch outside the sanctuary.
